I finally had the chance to check out Henry's Place by Good Earth and used the vouchers I bought from
ENSOGO a couple of months back to treat my parents for their wedding anniversary last Jan 18. This groupon deals are really heaven sent for me for special occasions like this where I got a huge chunk off the total bill.
I called in early for a lunch reservation that day and they seated us near the entrance which is a little cramped. I failed to check out the whole interior since I'm so lazy to go upstairs. The place was packed with family gatherings that day. Chef Henry was there himself but failed to take a photo of him when he went near our table, he seemed happy with the influx of diners during that Sunday lunch.
For our appetizer, I ordered the crispy duck rolls

It's very tasty and crispy indeed. I really like the crispy strips of duck rolled in a crepe dipped with a little hoisin sauce in it.
For our soup, we had Hot and Sour Soup

Hot and Sour Soup @ P 120 per servings |
One serving can probably be shared by two if your not a big eater. This one is really good too, nice blend of the sourness of vinegar.
For our main dishes, we had the following :
Steamed Lapu Lapu @ P 650 |
Butterfly Tofu with Fish Fillet @ P 395 |
Spicy Nanking Beef @ P 420 |
Pork Spareribs @ P 430 |
Shantung Chicken @ P 550 |
Chinese Brocolli @ P 130 |
Chinese Kangkong @ P120 |
Good Earth Rice @ P 320 |
Seafood Chow Mien @ P 410 |
At Henry's Place, you can be assured of authentic tasting Chinese dishes presented in very creative mix of flavors and textures. If I'm going to choose my favorite among the main dishes we tried, I'd say its the Shantung Chicken and if you insist I named my least fave then I think its gonna be the Butterfly tofu with fish fillet. Prices are quite steep for the size of servings they provide but hey I'm not complaining since I got a good discount courtesy of the Ensogo deal.

Chinese Tea in Pot @ P 50 |
And after the heavy meal, having this Chinese Tea is the best way to go ... so good and relaxing. I think they didn't bill us the two pots we ordered when I check my receipt. Whew, thanks :)
I wanted to try their version of Halo Halo but everyone was full already so we skipped desserts altogether.
