Sincerely Yours @ Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant

Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant is one of Chinatown's best kept secret. The original branch, tucked in a small alley street in Binondo was hard to locate unless you decide to walk and ask for directions but this unassuming restaurant is really one of Chinatown's best kept secret in terms of great tasting food and good value for money. I remember having difficulty locating the original branch when I first heard of it 5 yrs ago but the effort paid off when I tasted their much talk about specialties.
Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant at Lucky Chinatown Mall

From a small mami house in Carvajal St, they've evolved and expanded to four branches and it's now the children of third generation handling and managing the family business. Dishes of Amoy origin or those that came from Xiamen part of China are what Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant specializes at. For easy access, they've opened a branch at Lucky Chinatown Mall at the ground floor with an entrance on the open grounds of the mall.

They are best known for their Fried Chicken which in my opinion is the most tasty fried chicken I've had. The crispy breading is packed with flavors and the insides are juicy. I can't put my finger what sort of ingredients they use to achieve that kind of unique oriental flavor and there's no need for any gravy sauce or ketchup to release its flavor but for my own personal preference I always like it with hot sauce.

Sincerity Fried Chicken ( Half - 150 pesos/ Whole - 300 pesos)
A half-size order of fried chicken can serve 3 people. I also recommend that you try their other specialties. My other fave dishes here are as follows :
Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant at Lucky Chinatown Mall
Oyster Cake (small - 140 pesos, big -  200 pesos)
I love oyster and I would like to achieve the gooey texture of this oyster cake when I get to cook one. A small order of this can feed 4 people.

Kikiam - 50 pesos/pc
I'm not really fond of Kikiam but there's really something special with Sincerity's Kikiam. They serve it with gravy and radish atchara and for just 50 pesos a piece, you'll get to taste what makes it special.
Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant at Lucky Chinatown Mall
Sincerity Fried Rice (small-50 pesos  /big - 80 pesos)
It's a must to have this fried rice to fully enjoy a meal. A big order can feed 2-3 people.
Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant at Lucky Chinatown Mall
Special Machang - 65 pesos / pc
Their Special Machang is already good but I heard the 8 treasures Machang is the best variety. I've not tried the 8 treasures yet since it's always not available when I dine here.

Service Tea
Their service tea which you can consume to your heart's content at no cost is also a fave. I asked the waiters what kind of tea it was but they can't give me an answer. In my taste, it's not jasmine, not green tea or oolong tea. Maybe they want to keep it a secret. :)

The Lucky Chinatown branch gets packed during lunch and dinner so ready yourself for some long waiting time when you plan to eat there during these hours. The place can accommodate about 40 pax at a time. They have extra seats outside if you choose to eat alfresco.

The owners claimed they always cook and serve their meal to their customers with a sincere heart thus the name. Well, I totally agree, I'd say it's sincerely yours at Sincerity Cafe & Restaurant, my reason why I eat there once a week.
